How to forward X (Twitter) updates to a webhook

Learn how to automate X (Twitter) posts to a webhook

Stay updated on the latest X (Twitter) activity by automatically forwarding posts to a webhook endpoint. By creating an X (Twitter) RSS feed and connecting it to a webhook, you can deliver updates directly into your systems, workflows, or automation tools.

Step 1: Set up an X (Twitter) RSS feed

RSS feeds are a standardized format for delivering content updates, which allows X (Twitter) profiles, hashtags, or search results to be automatically monitored and reused across different tools and systems.

1. Copy the URL of any X (Twitter) profile, hashtag, or search query you want to track.

2. Paste the URL into our X (Twitter) RSS Generator.

3. Click Generate.

4. Your RSS feed should be ready within 20 seconds. Click Save to my Feeds to save it.

Once created, the RSS feed will automatically fetch new updates from the source URL based on your plan’s refresh rate.

Use filters to customize the content that appears in your feed. You can exclude/include posts based on keywords, add custom text, replace text, etc.

Step 2: Set up the webhook URL in RSS.app

1. Go to your Webhook Settings.

2. Enter your Webhook URL.

3. Select the feed you created in Step 1.

4. Click Send Test to verify it works as expected. It will be saved automatically.

RSS.app will send HTTP POST requests to your provided webhook URL as soon as a new post is added to your RSS feed.
