Filtering RSS feeds by keywords allows you to customize the content you receive, ensuring that your feed only includes posts relevant to your interests. In RSS.app, you can use two types of filters: Whitelist and Blacklist. These filters enable you to include or exclude posts based on specific keywords.
Open Feed Filters
1. Open your feed. If you don't have one, enter the URL into the RSS Generator.
2. Go to Filters.
3. Scroll to Whitelist or Blacklist.
Whitelist Filter
The Whitelist filter allows you to include only posts that contain certain keywords. This is useful if you want to focus on content related to specific topics or terms.
1. Under Whitelist, type a keyword or phrase.
2. Select whether the filter should search the Title, Description, URL, or Image URL.
3. Press Enter or click + Add.
4. Repeat for any additional keywords.
5. Click Save.
Your feed will only include posts mentioning one or more of those terms.
Blacklist Filter
The Blacklist filter works by excluding posts that contain specific keywords. It is helpful for blocking unwanted content, such as spam or topics you do not want to see.
1. Under Blacklist, type a keyword or phrase.
2. Select whether the filter should search the Title, Description, URL, or Image URL.
3. Press Enter or click + Add.
4. Repeat for any additional keywords.
5. Click Save.
Any post containing one of those terms will be excluded from your feed.

Advanced filter options
Click the ⋮ (three dots) menu to access additional filtering options.
1. Partial Match
By default, filters match the exact keyword or phrase you enter. Enable Partial Match if you also want to match words that contain your keyword.
For example, the keyword "rent." Without Partial Match, the filter matches "rent." With Partial Match enabled, it also matches "rental," "renting," "renter."
2. AND Condition
By default, each keyword works independently. If you only want posts that contain all of your keywords, enable AND Condition.
Click ⋮ → Enable AND Condition.
Add your first keyword.
Click + AND to add another keyword that must also appear in the same post.
For example, the keywords "luxury" + AND "apartment." It matches "luxury apartment for sale" or "modern luxury apartment in Barcelona." It doesn't match "luxury villa" or "apartment near the beach" since these posts don't contain both keywords.
3. Create multiple keyword groups
When AND Condition is enabled, you'll see two buttons:
+ AND — Require another keyword in the same group.
+ Add — Start a new keyword group.
For example:
luxury + AND apartment + ADD beachfront + AND villa
This matches posts about:
luxury apartments
beachfront villas
while ignoring posts that contain only luxury, apartment, beachfront, or villa on their own.
