Google News is useful for tracking breaking stories, industry topics, competitors, and brand mentions. With RSS.app, you can turn any public Google News search or topic page into an RSS feed, then use AI Brief to automatically generate summaries and analysis from the latest articles.
Why use AI summaries for Google News RSS feeds?
Google News RSS article summary: Quickly understand the main points from multiple news articles without reading each one.
Google News RSS article analysis: Identify trends, recurring themes, sentiment, and key developments across a topic.
Media Monitoring: Track mentions of your brand, competitors, products, or industry.
Research: Follow topics like “AI regulation,” “renewable energy,” or “SaaS funding” and receive summarized updates.
Automation: Send AI-generated news summaries to Slack, Discord, Telegram, Email, or your website.
Step 1: Create a Google News URL
First, go to Google News and find the topic you want to monitor.
1. Search for your topic, keyword, company, or industry.
2. Choose the region or language settings if needed.
3. Copy the full Google News URL from your browser’s address bar.
Please note that RSS.app cannot generate feeds from personalized pages like “For You” or “Following” because they require a personal login. Use public Google News search results, topics, or location-based pages.
Step 2: Generate the Google News RSS feed with RSS.app
1. Go to the Google News RSS Generator.
2. Paste your Google News URL into the search box.
3. Click Generate.
4. Preview your feed and click Save to My Feeds.
Your Google News RSS feed is now ready to use with RSS.app tools, widgets, bots, and AI Brief.
Step 3: Enable AI Brief
1. Turn on the AI Brief toggle on the right-hand side.
2. Go to the AI Brief tab.
3. In the Content and Options tab, choose the AI model and select how many articles should be included in each Brief.
Check out the Guide to AI Brief for a full breakdown of the available content and formatting options.
This lets AI Brief create a Google News RSS article summary from multiple recent stories in your feed.
Step 4: Enable automatic summaries
1. Go to the Schedule section.
2. Turn on Auto-generate.
3. Select how often your summary should be created.
4. Choose the time and timezone.
That’s it! AI Brief will automatically collect the latest articles from your Google News RSS feed and generate a scheduled summary based on your selected settings.
