Learn how to collect updates from multiple sources, generate a daily AI summary, and send it automatically to your Slack channel.
What this setup does
Track updates from websites, blogs, and social media
Combine multiple sources into one feed
Generate a single AI summary using AI Brief
Send that summary to Slack automatically every day
This is useful for daily news briefings, competitor monitoring, or team updates.
Step 1: Create a feed from your source
1. Copy the URL of a website, blog, or social media page you want to track.
2. Go to the RSS Generator.
3. Paste the URL and click Generate.
4. Save the feed to your account.
RSS.app will automatically fetch updates from your source URL according to your plan's refresh rate.
Step 2: Add more sources (optional)
Repeat the same process to create additional feeds.
1. Go to Bundles.
2. Click + New Bundle and select the feeds you want to include.
3. Name and save the Bundle.
This creates a single feed that aggregates updates from multiple sources.
Step 3: Enable AI Brief
1. Open the feed or Bundle you want to summarize with AI.
2. Toggle AI Brief on.
AI Brief uses the latest posts in your feed to generate a single summary instead of sending each post individually.
Step 4: Customize and schedule your AI Brief
1. Open the AI Brief tab.
2. Choose a personality (or use a custom prompt).
3. Select a format (brief, headlines, digest, etc.).
4. Adjust options like the number of articles included.
For a full overview of customization options, check out our Guide to AI Brief.
Then schedule your daily summary:
5. Go to Schedule.
6. Toggle Auto-generate on.
7. Select your preferred time and timezone.
Your AI Brief will now run automatically each day with your selected settings.
Step 5: Send AI Brief to Slack
1. Go back to Feed Overview and click the Slack icon.
2. Log in with Slack and authorize RSS.app to post.
3. Select the Channel you want to post in, either from the dropdown or by channel ID.
If the channel is private, you’ll need to add our bot to it. Open Channel Details > Integrations > Add an app > Add News Alerts (our bot) to the channel.
RSS.app will send up to the 3 latest AI Briefs to test the connection.
That's it! Now RSS.app fetches the latest updates from your sources, turns those updates into a single summary with AI Brief, and forwards the summary to Slack automatically.
