Keep your website, sports blog, or fan community updated by automatically displaying sports news using RSS feeds.
Instead of manually posting updates, you can generate a feed from sports websites and display it on your site using RSS.app widgets.
Why This Use Case Is Helpful
Displaying sports headlines on your website helps:
Keep visitors informed with the latest sports updates
Add fresh content to your site automatically
Increase engagement on sports blogs, apps, and fan communities
1. Find a Sports News Source
Choose a sports website you want to display content from. Examples include:
Team news pages
League websites
Sports media outlets
Tournament blogs or analysis sites
If the website already provides an RSS feed, copy the feed URL. If it doesn’t, you can generate one using RSS.app.
2. Generate a Feed with RSS.app
Go to the RSS Generator.
Paste the URL of the sports news page (homepage or category page).
Click Generate and wait for the feed to be created.
Click Save to My Feeds.
RSS.app will convert the page into a structured RSS feed that updates automatically when new articles are published according to your plan's refresh rate.
3. Create a Widget
Once your feed is ready, you can display it on your website.
1. Go to the Widgets tab.
2. Choose a visual layout for your sports content.
Common layouts include:
List – A simple stream of sports headlines
Carousel – Ideal for image-heavy sports updates
News Wall – Structured layout for news-style pages
Imageboard – Grid display for articles with images
Ticker – Scrolling sports headlines
3. Click Customize if you want to adjust the widget style to match your website.
4. Embed on Your Website
Once your widget is ready:
Click Add to Website.
Copy the HTML or iframe embed code.
Paste the code into your website’s HTML where you want the sports news to appear.
Your website will now automatically display the latest sports headlines whenever new articles are published.
