How to Add an HTML News Widget to Your Website

Updated yesterday

As a marketer, you want your website to offer more than static information — it should demonstrate that your brand is active, informed, and relevant. One easy way to do this is to embed a news widget that pulls in the latest content from trusted sources using RSS.

With RSS.app, you can embed customizable, auto-updating content widgets directly into your website HTML — no complex integrations or coding required.

What Is an RSS News Widget?

An RSS news widget is a dynamic content block you embed on your website to display the latest articles, announcements, or updates from any blog or news source.

Use cases for marketers:

  • Show trending industry news on a homepage or blog sidebar

  • Highlight recent posts from your own company blog

  • Display curated thought leadership for B2B landing pages

  • Keep client portals fresh with vertical-specific updates

Step 1: Generate Your RSS Feed

  1. Go to our RSS Generator.

  2. Paste the URL of a blog, news site, or YouTube channel

  3. Click Save to My Feeds

RSS.app will extract the latest news stories and keep your feed updated.

Tip: Use filters to include only posts with keywords like “case study”, “trends”, or “data”.

Step 2: Create a Widget

1. Go to the Widgets tab

2. Choose a visual layout: List, Carousel, Ticker, Magazine, News Wall, Feed, Imageboard.

3. Use customization options to match your website’s style by clicking Customize.

Step 4: Embed on Your Website

1. After customizing, click Add to Website.

2. Copy the HTML or iframe embed code.

3. Paste the code into your website's HTML where you want the headlines to appear.

That’s it! Your site will now automatically display the latest news headlines, updated as new stories are published.
