Zapier is a tool that allows users to automate workflows. Instead of manually entering data, it can connect an RSS feed to Google Sheets and automatically share new content as it becomes available.
Prerequisites
An RSS.app account.
A Make.com account.
A Google Workspace account.
Step 1: Create an RSS Feed with RSS.app
1. Copy the URL of any website, social media page, or other online source you want to track.
2. Paste the URL into our RSS Generator.
If the site is highly customizable or you just want more control over what to include in the feed, try using our RSS Builder.
3. Click Generate.
4. Your RSS feed should be ready within 20 seconds. Click Save to my Feeds to save it.
Use filters to customize the content that appears in your feed. You can exclude/include posts based on keywords, add custom text, replace text, etc.
Step 2: Set up a webhook in Zapier
Log into zapier.com.
Click Create New Zap.
For the Trigger, search for Webhooks by Zapier and select it.
Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event.
Zapier will generate a unique Webhook URL. Copy this.
Step 3: Connect the webhook in RSS.app
1. In RSS.app, click your avatar in the top right and select Webhooks from the dropdown. Or simply go to https://rss.app/webhooks.
2. Paste the Zapier Webhook URL into the field.
3. Select the specific feed or bundle you want to use (or leave it blank to include all feeds).
4. Click Send Test to send a sample item.
5. Go back to Zapier and click Test Trigger. You should see the latest feed item data appear.
Step 4: Send the feed item to Google Sheets
1. Add a new Action in your Zap.
2. Choose Google Sheets and select Create Spreadsheet Row as the action event.
3. Connect your Google account.
4. Select the spreadsheet you want to use (make sure it has column headers).
5. Map the RSS feed data (like title, link, and description) to the appropriate columns.
6. Click Test Step to preview how the row will be added.
If everything looks good, click Publish Zap.

Now, every time a new item is added to your RSS feed, it will automatically appear in your Google Sheet.
