How to detect RSS feeds on webpages

Learn how to use the RSS Feed URL Finder Chrome Extension

Updated today

Finding the right RSS feed for a website can be tricky, but the RSS Feed URL Finder Chrome extension makes it easy by automatically detecting RSS feeds on any webpage.

How to detect RSS feeds

1. Go to the RSS Feed URL Finder Extension and click Add to Chrome.

2. Confirm the installation by clicking Add Extension in the pop-up.

3. Go to the website where you want to find the RSS feed URL.

4. Click on the RSS Feed URL Finder icon in your browser's toolbar.

The extension will crawl the webpage to detect the RSS feed. Copy the RSS feed URL once it appears.

If a feed can't be found, you will see a "Nothing found" message in the extension window. Use RSS Finder to find related feeds.

Using the RSS Feed with RSS.app

Once you’ve found the Native RSS feed, you can use it with RSS.app.

1. Paste the RSS feed URL into the RSS Feed Generator and click Generate.

If the native RSS feed doesn't include images, we will offer the option to generate an RSS.app alternative feed. This feed will pull images directly from the source website.

2. Click Save to my Feeds to save it.

You can then use the feed as a widget or set up Alerts to Discord, Telegram, Slack, or email.
