Stay updated on the latest posts from your favorite Reddit subreddits or search queries directly in Slack by creating a Reddit RSS feed and setting up a Slack alert. This guide will walk you through the steps to create a Reddit RSS feed and set up a Slack alert for notifications.
Set up a Reddit RSS Feed
Copy the URL of any public Reddit subreddit or search result.
Paste the URL into our Reddit RSS Generator.
Click Generate.
Your RSS feed should be ready within 20 seconds. Click Save to my Feeds to save it.
Set Up a Slack Alert
1. Click on the Slack icon in Feed Overview.
2. Log in with Slack and authorize RSS.app to post.
3. Select the Channel you want to post in.
If the channel is private, you’ll need to add our bot to it. Open Channel Details > Integrations > Add an app > Add News Alerts (our bot) to the channel.
4. Click Save.
Now, you’ll receive your Reddit updates directly in Slack, making it easy to stay on top of your favorite content without leaving the app.
