Adding RSS.app bot to Telegram Channel

Enhance your Telegram experience by integrating real-time updates directly into your channel or group. This guide walks you through the process of setting up an RSS feed bot to keep your community engaged with the latest updates.

Step 1: Adding bot to the group

  1. Click on channel name and Add User

  2. Copy & Paste Bot name in the search: news_alerts_rss_bot and Add bot to Group

  3. Make sure you're adding our bot.
    You can also add bot via this link https://t.me/news_alerts_rss_bot

  4. Manage permissions


    If you adding bot to Channel you should give it admin access and press Make Admin button.
    ​Make sure in both cases allow bot to Manage messages or Send messages and Send media if you adding bot to the Group.

Step 2: Autorize Rss.app with Telegram

Go to your Integrations page

Press "Connect Bot" button

Sign in with Telegram

Confirm request acces on your phone or other device.

Step 3: Choose Feed

After confirming your request, you will find the option to add a Telegram alert. You can do this by selecting the RSS feed or bundle that you want to use as the source for updates in your Telegram group. Additionally, you can navigate to the 'Feed Overview' page. On this page, look for and click on the 'Telegram' button, which is located on the right side. This action will initiate the process of linking your chosen RSS feed or bundle to your Telegram group.

Step 4: Select the Posting Channel

Choose Channel or Group for Alert and press 'Save' button.

The RSS app bot should now be set up to send the first posts to your channel! If everything has been configured correctly, you should see the initial posts appearing in your Telegram right now!

Step 5: Apply Filters

Back on the “Feed Overview” page, you have options to modify sources, bundles, and apply filters to tailor the feed to your needs.

History and Testing

Check the history to see when and how many updates the bot has sent. Use the 'Send Test' button on the top right of the screen to verify the bot's integration.
