How Traders Can Use RSS.app

Updated this week

Staying ahead of market movements often comes down to getting the right information before others do. With RSS.app, traders can monitor news sources, analyst blogs, financial feeds, and social media in real time — all from a single dashboard.

1. Track Market News with Google News Feeds

Use Google News to track company names, commodities, or economic terms and get real-time updates.

Example: Track breaking headlines for Tesla, inflation, or Federal Reserve.

How to do it:

1. Go to news.google.com and enter your search term.

2. Copy the full URL from the address bar.

3. Paste the URL into our Google News RSS Generator and click Generate.

4. Click Save to My Feeds to save it to your account.

You’ll now get timely updates whenever new articles match your search.

Use filters to narrow down your feed and only see the most relevant updates. You can filter by keywords in the title, description, or source to exclude noise and focus on high-signal news. For example, filter out “press release” or include only posts that mention “earnings beat” or “SEC filing.”

2. Monitor Reddit Sentiment on Stocks or Crypto

Track subreddit discussions around tickers like /r/stocks, /r/cryptocurrency, or niche communities.

Example: Monitor /r/TSLA or search-based feeds for NVDA.

How to do it:

1. Copy the URL of any subreddit or Reddit search.

2. Paste the URL into our Reddit RSS Generator and click Generate.

3. Click Save to My Feeds to save it to your account.

Use this to share top threads or to stay informed without manually browsing Reddit.

3. Follow Analyst Blogs

Track insights from independent analysts that don’t post on mainstream platforms.

Example: Follow finance-focused blogs like The Market Ear, ZeroHedge, or FinTwit blogs.

How to do it:

1. Paste the blog URL into our RSS Generator.

2. Click Generate.

3. Click Save to My Feeds to save it to your account.

This is useful for identifying contrarian takes, sentiment shifts, and early-stage analysis.

4. Follow Financial Newsletters

If you subscribe to multiple financial newsletters, your inbox probably gets overwhelmed. RSS.app lets you convert those email newsletters into a single RSS feed — so you can read them on your terms, without the clutter.

Example: Convert daily emails like Morning Brew, The Daily Upside, or Finimize into one clean feed.

How to do it:

2. Click Create Newsletter Feed.

3. Use the randomly generated email address to subscribe to your newsletters.

4. Enter a name for this feed and click Save.

Now you can stay informed — without losing important alerts in a pile of email noise.

5. Monitor Specific Keywords or Market Events

Need fresh content on a specific topic? RSS.app lets you create feeds by simply entering a keyword — we’ll scrape the internet for related articles, blog posts, and news.

Search terms like quantitative tightening, AI trading, or Bitcoin ETF.

How to do it:

1. Go to the Topic RSS Generator.

2. Choose one of the topics from the menu or enter your keyword into the search bar.

3. Click Generate.

4. Click Save to My Feeds to save it to your account.

This is ideal for general themes, trends, or niche topics without a single reliable source.

6. Automatically Share Updates to Slack, Discord, or Telegram

Push real-time news and updates directly to your trading team or community chat.

Example: Send every new article about the S&P 500 or a specific stock to your private Discord channel.

How to do it:

1. Click on the Slack, Discord, or Telegram icon in Feed Overview.

2. Connect your workspace or bot.

3. Set the posting channel and message format.

7. Bundle Multiple Sources into a Single Feed

Use Bundles to combine multiple feeds into one clean stream. This is ideal for tracking several sources—like Google News, Reddit, blogs, and newsletters—all in one place.

Example: Create a bundle with:

  • Yahoo Finance for stock news

  • Reddit for sentiment

  • Google News for macroeconomics

  • Analyst blogs for deep dives

How to do it:

1. Go to Bundles tab in your RSS.app dashboard.

2. Click + New Bundle and select all the feeds you want to include.

Now, all of your market updates — from news headlines to Reddit sentiment and analyst blogs — will be in one place, easy to scan and ready to act on.

8. Display Live Market Feeds with Embeddable Widgets

Need a real-time market news panel on your dashboard, website, or internal portal? RSS.app lets you turn any feed into a customizable widget that updates automatically.

Example: Embed a live widget showing crypto news, tech stock updates, or macroeconomic headlines on your Notion dashboard or trading homepage.

How to do it:

1. Go to Widgets in your RSS.app dashboard.

2. Choose a layout (List, Ticker, News Wall, etc.).

3. Customize appearance (colors, fonts, image ratio).

4. Click Add to Website and copy the embed code.

5. Paste into your site or Notion page using a custom HTML block.
