Guide to AI Credits

Learn how AI usage is calculated

AI Credits are used when generating summaries with AI Brief.

Each time you create or regenerate a brief, credits are consumed based on the settings you choose. The exact amount isn’t fixed, it depends on how the brief is generated.

What affects credit usage

Credit usage is not fixed. It depends on:

  • AI model. Basic models use fewer credits, while advanced models use more.

  • Number of articles included. The more articles in your brief, the more credits are required.

  • Brief type and settings. Different summary options may affect how much processing is needed.

  • New Brief vs Regenerate
    Both actions consume credits.

    • New Brief → uses current settings on selected articles

    • Regenerate → reprocesses the same articles with the same settings

How credit usage works

Credit usage depends on how your brief is generated.

Using more advanced AI models or including more articles in a brief will require more processing, and therefore use more credits. Smaller briefs or basic models will use fewer.

If you generate or regenerate briefs multiple times, each run will consume credits based on those settings.

Where to see your credits

You can check your remaining credits:

  • In the AI Brief tab inside your feed

  • On your Billing page

  • On your Plans page

At the moment, we don’t have a user-facing dashboard to track detailed credit usage.

How credits are allocated

  • Paid plans include 5 credits per month

  • Credits reset at on the 1st of every month

  • Credits are not prorated

  • Credits are non-refundable

  • Unused credits do not roll over
